We're back from Florida. The vacation officially ended yesterday, even though we got home late Friday night, because as all of you who travel with children know, you need a few days vacation to recover from your vacation. I did take all Little Ocean's ready-made orders to the post office right away, though. And started some serious laundry.

Here are the highlights of the trip.

Spending the week with the Gramling family. All 11 children and 12 adults in one beach house.

Seeing Cumberland Island in Georgia. Amazing.

Painting my toenails.

Seeing lots of wildlife. Gators, dolphins, jellyfish, wild horses, turkeys, armadillos, turtles, and strange birds.

Some not so great parts of the week.

The weather.
It was in the 50's most of the time. Same temperature as Milwaukee. 54 degrees in Milwaukee feels like heaven compared to 54 degrees on the beach. Of course the day we left was gorgeous. The children thoroughly soaked their traveling clothes in the ocean right before our flight.

Flying.
Hey Miss Thrifty, buying the cheapest possible tickets with stops and carrying on EVERYTHING is fine when you're with adults or alone. Never again with the kids. Also, don't assume while you're rushing through security that they will leave alone the bottle of milk just because your baby is drinking from it. You know, it may be a bottle of explosive liquid that you'll set on fire when baby spits up.

Well, it's good to be back and in the swing of things again. I did manage to make my swim suit like I mentioned before we left. Of course I didn't wear it. But I'll show you all in a day or two.
