Spring 2009

I am finally ready to launch an entire collection in my online shop! I plan on maintaning both my etsy shop and Fasten. I've got a lot of great stuff flying out of my studio, so it will be exciting.
So far, I'll be posting these high waisted skirts and these toddler tees in adorable retro fabrics. I just went to the secret thrift store today and spent my last $5 on a whole bag full of this amazing textile candy!

The lovely Stephanie will help me out with the pictures until I find my old figure again. Hopefully that won't take too long after Junior is born. I've been toying with the idea of designing a couple simple maternity items as long as I am a good model for that. We'll see.

Back to Work

I took a little break from Little Ocean over the holidays. While cleaning and re-organizing my studio, I came to the conclusion that winter is over. Time to start the spring collection. Kinda makes me sad. But Spring '09 is going to be totally rad, and I've only got 8 weeks left before the little nugget arrives and causes me even more trouble than he already has.

Goodbye sweet collection of vintage wool. I'll see you again in July.

Sushi and Fried Pickles

Happy new year!

Each new year's eve we have a party at our house. It's much more fun and safer than going out to hang with waisted strangers at bars and clubs. We have a shit-ton of food, booze, and all the fixings to make your own sushi. While Ana was making the tempura shrimp, I threw a few pickles in the batter. Of course, the pregnant woman was the only one to eat them.

As always, it was a very musical night.

"Fuck 2008!"

Mara was bright and chipper at 8am New Years morning. Although I was not hung-over, I was feeling pretty crusty after only 4 hours of sleep. But playing charades until 4am with your good friends is totally worth it. Ana and I are the best team ever! Yeah, "Cheeze Whiz"!
